WHETHER SEXY OR NOT WE SELL IT!!
Great ways to market your products or services succesfully
The attraction of some products is easly seen. It's very easy to see the attraction of an appetizing burger, hotdog, a new action movie, iphone or Audi upgrade. Other products on the other side, have to work harder to prove they have a product or service thats solving a problem. What is more important is some industries work on essential needs in society but don't get the kind of notice heaped on upstarts.
Nontheless @BusinesswithTat we have many steps to keep our start-up ventures and business upgrades hopes high. As I share points on marketing products that in the eyes of potential customers seem totally unsexy.
• State the problem that you're solving
Stop giving us reasons as to why we should like your product, identify what your target market is looking for and design your pitch around that.
When showcasing your product, don't focus much on its features & specs ; rather, describe the problem you are solving for your customers. Give testimonies to carry truth and expertise to talk up your "user-friendly product '' or "industry leading service '' then the better. In dog-eat-dog markets in which many companies have much the same offerings or identical services, you may still want to enumerate the features you offer but also notice how your rivals introduce themselves and proceed to demonstrate how you offer more, whether as a first-class provider or by writting down a superior list of features for less.
• Identify your audience
Q¤ 1. Do you know your customers?, who are they?
Q¤ 2. What is the big market opportunity?
Knowing the 2 answers to the above questions is crucial to knowing how you will communicate with the people who will go on to purchase your products.
• Define your market
Many thriving businesses are natural monopolies via innovations, they establish new markets after doing so, they are able to stay ahead of their competition. If you are capable of doing the same you automatically become an instant leader in the field. State a unique market need and describe how you fill it.
• Give Us Your Company Story
For the rest of your company life you just can't talk about your products but along the path you can go on to talk about your corporate identity and history. E.g Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates including me all have a story line behind which sells the product or service be it insipiration, cause or revolution you know the story behind your company sell it to your customers.
• Tell people your values
Moreover, you can tell people about your values. For instance : Use the customer first approach very seriously and don't stop talking about it.
Few examples of famous corporate motto's for the corporate code of conduct :
¤ L'Oréal Paris: "Because You're Worth It"
The motto isn't about the product, it's about the image the product can get you.Who doesn't want to feel like they're worth it?
¤ Twitter : " Feel Free"
To give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers. This doesn't focus on the service but on what the user can benefit from who doesn't want to share his world to the rest of the world instantly?
¤ McDonald's: "I'm Lovin' It"
Launched 14 years back the campaign still has strong impact towards its target audience. Considered not to be healthy by other people, McDonald's doesn't promise its customers the healthy side but McDonald's promise is that '' you'll love the taste and the convenience.''
• Build demand for your product
Suppose you come up with a drink which prevents a disease caused by breathing toxic air in industries after launching your company, you must inform the public the risk of not having the drink simple.. Highlight the potential threats faced by the victims, then you are able to build an entirely new market for this product.
• Cleverly Manage Scarcity
Applying urgency is a classic sales technique and it can be used powerfully in marketing as when bargaining a price. If you have a ristricted-time sale or not a very great number of discounted items available, then you are causing scarcity and urging the customer to act, whether on signing up or booking.
• Turn your customers into brand advocates
If there is a wide range of service providers or similar products out there and people aren't knocking at your door, begin to spice things up. Start offering a little more, suppose you sell drinks offer free instant tumbler sips to clients as part of a marketing and purchasing model, it gives consumers space to refer their friends. In a few words,
'' Build an effect growth model showing new customers benefits of using your product with the motive of turning them into brand advocates who promote your product or services across their circles at very less or no cost at all.''
• Link Your Brand With Influencers
The custom strategy is using celebrity endorsements either by offering a celebrity free products or paying a celebrity to promote your brand and this approach can be used in any industry of your product. The most important thing is to consider what does a celebrity or influencer mean to your audience.
The right brand ambassoder for your company might not be a, musician like Jay Z or an athlete like Messi, but an expert or thought leader like the President of a country or a well renowned Pastor who is respected by your customers and reflects the values of your brand.
Use the '' Dont judge a book by its cover '' approach, many products dont look sexy, but doesn't mean that they are actually boring. By speaking to your people in the words that they understand & describing the benefits that your product delivers and searching your right market, can powerfully position almost any product amongst the sexy.
